Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are always welcome and needed here at Timothy Hill Children's Ranch. Listed below are just a few ways you can help:
  • Ranch Ambassador: Someone who hears the story of THCR and wants to share it with others. Some Ambassadors organize fund-raising dinners while others just host a small gathering in their home to show the THCR video to friends. (Pictured to the right are Ohio Ranch Ambassadors.)
  • Administrative Helper: General office support including mail-outs, answering phones, filing, data entry, etc.
  • Ranch Events: Helping out at special events such as our Country Western Day Festival (Sat. after Labor Day each year), our October Golf Outing, our Long Island Dinner (May), the Shelter Island 10k Run (June), and more. More about Ranch events!

  • Facility Support: Hands on support through our building and grounds department; or just working in our greenhouse/thrift store, running errands, shopping, or helping with transportation.
  • Group Trips: Organize a trip with your church or civic organization. THCR can host up to 30 volunteers at a time. Typical schedules include working with the residents in the mornings, playing in the afternoons, and devotionals with them in the evenings. Week long trips usually reserve a day to tour NYC.
