THE PROGRAM
Timothy Hill Children''s Ranch (THCR), located in Riverhead, NY, is a 73 acre safe haven for children in crisis, ages 10-21. THCR seeks to be a vehicle of love and encouragement, to build integrity & character within the children and families we serve, so cycles of abuse and neglect may someday be broken.
Psychologists say that “a child without an adult male in their life, is like an explorer without a map." Yet over 40% of children go to sleep each night without a father under the same roof. Coincidentally, national statistics show dramatic increases in teenage boys dropping out of school, and also participating in illegal activities.
A team approach to treatment is the basis of the program. Weekly goals and objectives focus on positive interpersonal relationships, responsibility development, and spiritual growth. Although each approach is individualized, staff concentrate on nurturing and inspiring each resident to achieve greatness. Our hope for each resident is not for them to only survive this world, but to thrive!

The Ranch accepts private referrals for young men between the ages of 18-21. The Foot-Steps Program is a one year, Christian mentoring program that equips older-youth with tools for success.
